I believe that Key, Brownlee, Groser, Joyce et al are very aware that what they're doing is destructive to NZ, but they have different priorities. In 2008 they knew that National would probably only last 2 terms, so they spent the first term setting things up and will spend the second term feathering their nests by setting things up for companies like Holcim, Carter Holt, Fonterra etc. Key (and some of his minions) will either resign in 2014 or soon after the election to "pursue other interests" with the support of the organisations they have served so well. <br /><br />I believe that they see people like you and I as sentimentalists.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
